Airfield Lakes is a picturesque carp fishery situated in the beautiful South Norfolk countryside near the Waveney Valley. The fishery consists of two lakes, both carefully stocked with a selection of stunning and unique carp breeds exclusive to East Anglia. These thoroughbred carp are known for their impressive appearance and provide an exciting angling experience.
The fishery is managed by Richard Wilby, a friendly and welcoming family-run operation. The team’s primary goal is to offer exceptional day-ticket carp fishing, aiming to establish Airfield Lakes as one of the leading carp fisheries in the country. The current venue record stands at an impressive 50 pounds and 4 ounces, reflecting the quality of the carp swimming in the lakes.
Conveniently located just one mile off the A140 between Ipswich and Norwich, Airfield Lakes is easily accessible from the small village of Dickleburgh. The fishery is situated on private farmland, opposite an old second-world-war airdrome. While the airdrome is now only used for vintage aircraft displays a few times a year, its historical significance adds to the charm and character of the surrounding area.
Whether you’re an experienced angler or a novice looking for a memorable fishing experience, Airfield Lakes aims to provide a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for all visitors. With its idyllic setting, top-quality carp, and dedication to customer satisfaction, Airfield Lakes is a must-visit destination for carp fishing enthusiasts in the region.
