About Burshill A Pond
Burshill A Pond in Yorkshire is a small pond of about 1½ acres that was made for people to enjoy fishing. It is part of the Burshill Fishery, which is part of the Brandesburton Complex. Unlike the other ponds nearby, Burshill A is shallow and has a flat bottom. It has lots of small fish of different kinds, making it easy for people to catch them. There are also some bigger fish in the pond, like carp, tench, crucian carp, and perch.
Recently, the fishing area has been improved with new fishing spots, paths, and parking. There is also a toilet for members to use. The pond is protected from the wind, so it’s a comfortable place to fish. In the past, there was too much weed in the pond, but stocking it with more fish in 2009 helped to reduce the problem.
To fish at Burshill A Pond, you need to have a membership permit. There is a standard membership for fishing from 5am to 10pm, and a night permit for fishing from 10pm to 5am. The pond is home to different types of fish, including roach, carp, tench, eels, bream, perch, and pike.
