About Danbury Country Park

Danbury Country Park in Essex has two lakes available for fishing.

The Bottom Lake is about 1.5 acres in size and was dug around 50 years ago. You can find silverfish, Crucian Carp, Perch up to 2 lb 11oz, and some Tench in this lake. There are also Common and Mirror Carp up to mid doubles, with most averaging 4 – 6 lbs. It’s a good spot for fishing in general.

The Top Lake is approximately 2.5 acres and was dug around 25 years ago. This lake has a large number of Common and Mirror Carp up to low doubles, with the average size being 6 – 8 lbs. You can also find Bream, Crucian Carp, and Roach up to 2 lbs here. It’s a productive lake with lots of fish, and it’s common to catch multiple fish or have 100 lbs match bags.

Both lakes have club toilets available for visitors to use.
