Thoby Wood Lake is a fishing spot in Essex near Ingatestone. It is managed by Billericay & District Angling Club Waters. The lake is 5 acres and has carp up to the mid-20s, as well as tench, bream, pike, rudd, roach, and perch. In 2009, smaller tench and crucians were added to the lake, and there are plans to add more fish in the future.

The biggest carp in the lake weigh 25 pounds, and the largest bream weigh 9 pounds. There is a slight slope up to the closest fishing spots from the parking lot. People with a disabled parking permit can drive a short distance to a designated parking area to avoid the slope.

The lake is only open for fishing between 6am and 30 minutes after sunset.
