The reservoir is about 5 acres in size and has a variety of fish including common and mirror carp, roach, perch, eels, tench, and ornamental carp. The site will now be called Marks Hall Fisheries – Rochford Reservoir and will be responsible for issuing permits for fishing. Anglers can obtain day tickets from the Horse and Groom Public House in Rochford, Pete’s Tackle in Southend-on-Sea, or from the bailiff on the bank.
