About Silver End Pits

Silver End Pits in Essex has two separate fishing areas. The Front Pit is a 3-acre gravel pit with a variety of fish including rudd, roach, perch, crucian carp, tench, and bream. The main attraction for anglers is the carp, with sizes ranging from 20lb to mid 30lbs. In 2019, 21 mirror carp were stocked with weights between 20-24lb. Pike up to 20lbs and large eels have also been caught here.

The Back Pit is a 5.5-acre water that has been developed as a specimen fishery. It is home to a variety of fish including roach, rudd, tench, and bream, with some reaching specimen sizes. Carp are the main target for anglers in this rich fishery, with fish averaging over 20lbs and many over 25lbs. Some carp weigh between 30lb to 35lb+. Pike over 20lbs have also been caught in this area.

There is a toilet located in the rear car park for convenience.
